Oswald has over 15 years of experience in the technology and business development across a number of African markets. Previously he was the CEO of Vaya Technologies Limited, a Cassava Technologies company where he led a team focusing on building and scaling commercially viable digital products in the agriculture, healthcare, logistics and education space. Oswald worked for a fintech startup in Nigeria and Kenya looking providing digital financial services to SMEs.
Oswald was previously the Group Head of Innovation Partnerships for Liquid Intelligent Technologies, focusing on building products and partnerships with global technology companies, startups, innovation hubs and universities aimed at driving the adoption of cloud services.
During the pandemic, Oswald led the team that developed the Africa Medical Supplies Platform working with Africa CDC and the AU. The platform delivered over $2bn worth of medical supplies and vaccines across 54 African countries and 16 Caribbean countries.
Oswald holds a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and is currently a Research Associate at Wits Business School.
