Jean Marc joined Liquid Intelligent Technologies in July 2021 as Legal Officer and has been promoted to the position of Legal, Regulatory & Compliance Manager since January 2022. In this position, Jean Marc’s main mission is on one hand, to watch the legal risk to which the company is exposed to in all its commitments and on the other hand to ensure compliance with the laws, regulations and procedures applicable to the activities of the Company.
Jean Marc was also appointed in October 2021 as “Company Secretary” by the Board of Directors, with the main responsibility of supporting the Governance of the Company by monitoring the regular holding of all meetings of the Board of Directors, General Assemblies, and by monitoring the execution of the decisions taken by the two Company bodies Holder of a degree in Economic and Social law from Université Protestante au Congo, Jean Marc also holds an “Executive MBA” in Economic Intelligence issued by Université Professionnelle d’Afrique, whose partnership with the l’Institut d’Etudes Politiques d’Aix-en-Provence in France where he attained for the same course a master’s certificate equivalent to a BAC+5 level.
He began his career as a Customer Service Agent at Celtel Congo in 2005 then joined OASIS “Tigo” in 2006 as a Legal assistant before moving to Technical Contracts Specialist within the same company the position he held until June 2008. This time allowed him to learn rigor in the analysis of legal documents, particularly analysing and drafting of contracts. In June 2008, Anxious to acquire additional skills in another field, Jean Marc joined the BAT “British American Tobacco” as a Trade Marketing Representative and subsequently promoted to the position of Area Sales Manager in charge of the former province of Kasaï Occidental. For nearly 5 years, BAT taught him a passion for sales and marketing, which allowed him to develop the determination to achieve objectives and manage teams with diplomacy.
He then joined Forever Living Products Congo in October 2012 as Marketing & Supply Chain Manager for the DRC and Congo-Brazzaville with a particular focus on the management of customs freight forwarders and stock management. It was in 2014 that Jean Marc returned to the legal functions by integrating again OASIS “Tigo” as Commercial Contracts Specialist then acting Legal Director before joining HT DRC INFRACO in 2015, an Helios Towers Group company, as Head of Legal and Regulatory. During his stay at HT DRC INFRACO, Jean Marc participated, with his team while ensuring the legal conditions, in several important transactions such as the sale of the shares of one of the partners and the sale of telecommunications towers of Airtel RDC.
Before joining Liquid, Jean Marc was an entrepreneur specializing in legal advice, not only in the creation and completion of formalities for a few companies, but also in the acquisition of telecommunication sites on behalf of clients. The legal functions held by Jean Marc during more than 11 years have enabled him to improve, in a very specific way, his knowledge and experience through the daily management of issues relating to Congolese law, OHADA law, regulatory, administrative, and judicial practices while maintaining a proactive vision of the risks to which companies are exposed to.
Jean Marc is also a person passionate about providing solutions while ensuring the desired rigor in the search for results. He enjoys playing tennis and remains a fervent follower of the “Work Balance” between hard work and family life.
