Vimbayi is a legal practitioner registered to practice law in Zimbabwe. She began her career in private practice before transitioning to an in-house legal counsel and company secretary. Her roles expanded to include oversight of legal, compliance, regulatory, human resources, and company secretarial functions in publicly listed companies across various industries, including Financial Services and Fast -Moving Consumer Goods.
In March 2014, Vimbayi joined Liquid Intelligent Technologies to establish a department dedicated to Legal and Regulatory matters. Her role later grew to encompass company secretarial duties and stakeholder relations management. Currently, she serves as the Regional Head of Legal and Regulatory for Central Africa.
Vimbayi holds a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree from the University of Zimbabwe. She is a Certified Trustee with the Zimbabwe Association of Pension Funds and a Certified Data Protection Officer with the Harare Institute of Technology.
