Liquid Intelligent Technologies showed up at The Africa Sustainable Futures Awards
Liquid Intelligent Technologies came second in the live voting at The Africa Sustainable Futures Awards organised by the Financial Times, for our Community Schools Connectivity Programme. These awards recognise innovative projects and initiatives that provide transformative solutions to some of the biggest development issues facing Africa today. Partnering with UNICEF and the International Technology Union (ITU) Giga Project, our Map, Connect and Empower Project supports in bridging the gap that the digital divide in education has created by connecting schools to the internet. It also allows schools to serve as a focal point for neighbouring communities, fuelling economic growth and development. So far, with 250,000 schools mapped across 12 counties and over 5,000 schools connected, the programme has reached 1.7 million students in less than 5 years. The UN SDGs address the most pressing challenges facing humanity, and encourage organisations to demonstrate responsible choices and sustainable business practices that contribute to ending poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.
