Liquid Intelligent Technologies wins MEF award for Best Wholesale Service Provider in Middle East and Africa

Liquid Intelligent Technologies was last night selected as Wholesale Service Provider of the Year for Middle East and Africa at the 2017 MEF Awards.

Now in its 12th year, the MEF Awards recognises service, application, technology, and professional excellence amongst the global carrier community. MEF is an industry association with over 210 member companies that is enabling service providers to create a global ecosystem of networks, which will deliver on-demand services for the digital economy and hyper-connected world.

Liquid Intelligent Technologies is a key proponent of new and emerging network technologies in Africa, and in 2015, became the first pan-African fibre operator to receive MEF Carrier Ethernet 2.0 certification.

“The MEF plays an important role in helping service providers prepare for the network technologies of tomorrow,” said Ben Roberts, Group CTIO, Liquid Intelligent Technologies. “We are delighted to be recognised as Best Service Provider in Middle East and Africa by the MEF as we continue to develop networks that can support the growing demand for bandwidth across Africa.”

Earlier in November, Liquid Intelligent Technologies was also named Best African Wholesale Carrier at the annual Global Carrier Awards for the sixth consecutive year.
